A family have secured a dream show home just one week from their initial enquiry at McInerney Homes’ Heritage development in Mirfield thanks to an innovative scheme offered by the housebuilder.

Lisa and Jason Hemingway are some of the latest residents to take advantage of McInerney’s part exchange scheme to enable them to move into the exclusive development of family homes and apartments which lies between the villages of Upper and Lower Hopton.

The scheme, which is tailored to meet the needs of each individual purchaser and aims to give buyers a cash offer for the full market value of their current home within seven days of initial enquiry, is being snapped up by house hunters across the region.

Lisa explained:

"McInerney Homes gave us a great offer for our previous home; an offer we couldn’t refuse. The market was slow and although our previous home was lovely, it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, so when McInerney offered us part exchange, we snapped it up as it was a good realistic offer.

"With a cash offer from McInerney within a week, we could finally relax knowing that there were no upper chains or extra costs, such as estate agents fees to worry about. From start to finish the whole process of selling our old home and moving into our new home took just four weeks."

In fact, the Hemingways were so eager to move into the development, that rather than wait a couple of months for their original four bedroom home to be completed, McInerney Homes offered them the deluxe four bedroom Keswick showhome. Lisa says,

"It’s incredible to think that just weeks after we made our initial part exchange enquiry we were literally unpacking our bags into a brand new home."

There is an abundance of incentives available at the Heritage development including shared equity, which simply means that buyers own 100 per cent of the property for 85 per cent of the price. For instance, the Derwent, the last remaining four bedroom property at Heritage, which is currently priced at £249,950, becomes an attractive £212,458. With just four of these house types remaining at Heritage, they are expected to be snapped up in no time at all.

Lisa and Jason Hemingway who have been married eleven years and have two young children say that the Heritage development is perfect for family life. Lisa added,

"Heritage offers us a perfect balance to family life. Every day I look out the window to see the ducks flying over head and the views of the river against a backdrop of idyllic countryside are stunning. We enjoy the tranquillity of the development and can rest assured that it is quite safe for the children to play outside. At the same time, the local towns are just a stone’s throw and the local amenities and schools are outstanding."

Proving incredibly popular with families and young commuters keen to take advantage of the transport links to Yorkshire’s major cities at its doorstep, Heritage is a little oasis of a development between Lower and Upper Hopton. The sales centre is open Thursday through to Monday between 11am until 5pm and can be contacted on 01924 499009.
